Jerusalem 30" X 24" X 2" Mixed Media on fine art paper laminated to a wood panel. Framed and ready to hang
"The view of Jerusalem is the history of the world; it is more, it is the history of earth and of heaven." - Benjamin Disraeli
This painting, "Jerusalem," is a testament to the rich tapestry of history and heritage that shapes this iconic city. Through a fusion of mixed media, I embarked on a journey to capture its enduring spirit.
At the composition's zenith, The Creation of Adam, by Michelangelo is symbolic of connection and continuity. This piece is not just a visual exploration but an invitation to reflect on the profound historical significance of Jerusalem
My mixed media paintings consist of acrylic paint and digital collage. They are painted on museum quality archival paper and then laminated to a cradled wood panel, varnished, waxed and then framed in a black floater frame. Each piece begins as a digital study on an iPad where the basic composition and coloring is determined before the hand painted original is started.
This painting is also available as a canvas print
