Chameleon.  24" X 30" X 2"  Mixed Media on fine art paper laminated to a wood panel. Framed and ready to hang

chameleon noun  a small slow-moving Old World lizard with a prehensile tail. long extensible tongue, protruding eyes that rotate independently, and a highly developed ability to change color.

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of "Chameleon". A mesmerizing painting that invites you to explore the concept of female vanity through a unique lens. Transport yourself to a scene where a mysterious woman, adorned in shades of red, stands against a backdrop of the same vibrant colors and geometric shapes. It portrays a woman using the adaptive survival technique of a chameleon to “fit in” and perhaps feel accepted socially.

As you delve deeper into the layers of this artwork, you will uncover a hidden narrative of adaptation and acceptance. The tranquil setting of water, and palm trees, creates a sense of calm and wonder, while the mingling of warm oranges and blues in the sky evoke a feeling of endless possibility.

Experience the artistry and skill of the creator as they skillfully manipulate perspective and composition to draw you into a world where reality and imagination intertwine. "Chameleon" is more than just a visual masterpiece - it is a journey of self-discovery and transformation.

My mixed media paintings consist of acrylic paint and digital collage. They are painted on museum quality archival paper and then laminated to a cradled wood panel, varnished, waxed and then framed in a black floater frame. Each piece begins as a digital study on an iPad where the basic composition and coloring is determined before the hand painted original is started.
