Carol and Anna 30" X 40" X 2"  Hand embellished print on fine art paper laminated to a wood panel. Framed and ready to hang

I have combined two songs, “Anna,” written by Arthur Alexander, a country-soul artist of the '60s and '70s, “Anna” centers on a relationship that is failing. And “Carol,” written by Chuck Berry. Who can resist John Lennon singing a Chuck Berry tune and going “ow!” during the instrumental break.

This piece is part of my ongoing exploration of "Faces and Facades," a series of mixed media paintings where people and places intertwine, with architecture serving as a vessel for unseen narratives. Inspired by characters from Beatles songs, each work aims to evoke the stories and emotions hidden beneath the surface, inviting viewers to look beyond the obvious and discover the deeper layers within.

The image is printed on museum quality archival paper and highlighted with acrylic paint and ink. It is then laminated to a cradled wood panel, varnished, waxed and framed in a black wood floater frame.
