…..Barbara liked to be on top. The view was so much better….

Step into a whimsical world where the bond between man and woman takes center stage in this vibrant and charming mixed media painting titled Totem. In this playful scene, a bearded man and a stylish woman are depicted against a backdrop of stylized trees under a colorful evening sky.

The man, dressed in a casual pink shirt and jeans, exudes a sense of relaxation as he playfully holds Barbara’s leg to his ear. Above him, Barbara in a blue jacket is caught in a moment of carefree bliss, with her eyes closed and head tilted upwards as if she's savoring the present moment.

Totem invites viewers to ponder the dynamics of relationships with a lighthearted touch, sparking a playful conversation about who holds the reins in matters of the heart. Let this delightful artwork captivate your imagination and bring a smile to your face as you explore the interconnectedness of love and partnership.

My mixed media paintings consist of acrylic paint and digital collage. They are painted on museum quality archival paper and then laminated to a cradled wood panel, varnished, waxed and then framed in a black floater frame. Each piece begins as a digital study on an iPad where the basic composition and coloring is determined before the hand painted original is started.
