"If you don't want to pay some more, (Ah, ah, Mr. Heath)
'Cause I'm the taxman, Yeah, I'm the taxman." - The Beatles

I invite you to enter the world of "Mr. Heath," where abstract forms and fragmented colors come together as a figure both familiar and elusive. Here, geometry breathes with an inner life—blocks of yellow, red, blue, green, and brown intertwine to create a presence suspended between solidity and dream.

The angular face, elongated body, and the neighboring mosaic-like structure hover against a shifting backdrop that melds a cloud-filled sky with textured stone, grounding the figure in a space that feels both real and imagined. Scattered silhouettes anchor the scale, hinting at stories beyond the visible.

This piece continues my exploration of “Faces and Facades”, a series of hand-embellished prints, where people and places mingle in whispered tension, and where each element holds a quiet enigma, waiting to be uncovered. Here the ordinary folds into the mystical, and the architectural becomes a vessel for unseen narratives, all named after characters from songs by The Beatles.

Frank Trocino is an award winning American born artist currently living in Santa Fe NM. The subject matter of his work is centered on couples and buildings.

The image is printed on museum quality archival paper and highlighted with acrylic paint and ink. It is then laminated to a cradled wood panel, varnished, waxed and framed in a black wood floater frame.
